Empowering Farmers Through
Fruit-Based Beverages
The Beverages Division is exploring product development and production of purified drinking water and fruit-based beverages, including pineapple juice and concentrates. All raw materials are to be sourced directly from our network of farmers, ensuring traceability, quality, and support for local agricultural communities. This division plays a key role in our value addition strategy and commitment to sustainable agro-processing.
SOCIAL IMPACT AND FARMER INCENTIVES
Organic Peanut
Value Chain
In the Volta Region, the group is poised at establishing an organic groundnut/peanut value chain to supply its operational nut processing facility. This initiative is part of a backward integration strategy for Yayra Glover Foods and Beverages and contributes to conserving the unique ecosystem of the Avu Lagoon area.
Here, the habitat of the Sitatunga and aquatic life endangered by poaching and unsustainable farming practices are being protected through eco-conscious interventions.
Investments in Sustainable Value Addition
Driving Rural Industry Through Banana & Plantain Processing
With the support of Kampani’s subordinated loan, the Group is nearing completion of its state-of-the-art banana and plantain processing facility. This marks a major milestone in our commitment to driving industrial growth and fostering rural development.
This development represents yet another chapter in our Beyond Cocoa Strategy—a bold step towards value addition for banana and plantain cultivated by our network of over 5,000 organic-certified farmers across the Eastern, Western, and Volta Regions of Ghana.
Fighting Illegal Mining Through Agricultural Empowerment
The group is also organizing farmers in the Eastern and Volta regions to produce various Tropical Fruits, Vegetables and Spices for export to organized EU markets. This initiative aims to enhance farmers’ incomes and address the illegal mining menace that threatens arable lands and water bodies.
